Walking across campus seems so simple. But it’s not for Andrea Frey. Born with cerebral palsy, the Nebraska Wesleyan University senior tries to navigate campus like most others despite challenges to her walking gait and balance.
Nebraska Wesleyan University said farewell to five retiring professors at commencement ceremonies on May 17. Combined, the five professors’ tenures reach back further than the university’s history.

Most know little more about Rwanda than the 1994 genocide that devastated the country. But Gerise Herndon, professor of English and director of Nebraska Wesleyan’s Gender Studies Program, hopes the students she leads to Africa in June will discover that Rwanda is now a changed nation.
