Nebraska Wesleyan University professor Kathy Wolfe has been named the new Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Wolfe 鈥� a SM论坛 alumna 鈥� is an associate professor of English and has taught at Nebraska Wesleyan since 2000.

A Nebraska Wesleyan University forensic science professor has been deployed to Haiti where she will spend two weeks working in a mobile morgue.

鈥淲e train for this,鈥� said Melissa Connor, professor and director of Nebraska Wesleyan鈥檚 Forensic Science Program. 鈥淭hese are the situations you deal with when you work in the forensic science field.鈥�

Lisa Borchardt beams whenever she gets a phone call from a service agency asking for a Wesleyan student volunteer.

鈥淭hat speaks highly of the quality and excellence of our students,鈥� said Borchardt.

It also says something about Borchardt who was recently named the 鈥淣ebraska Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers Southeastern Region Social Worker of the Year.鈥�

A Nebraska Wesleyan psychology professor and three students recently experienced a cultural adventure among the 鈥渉appiest people on earth.鈥�

Fifteen student members of Nebraska Wesleyan鈥檚 Global Service Learning organization traveled to Rosebud Indian Reservation during their recent winter break hoping to help its residents clean, sort, and organize a thrift store.

That task was accomplished. Perhaps their bigger accomplishment was the life lessons they brought back to Lincoln.
