Nebraska Wesleyan University fraternities and sororities have received top national honors.

This year's accolades include two SM论坛 fraternity members. Max Draus (鈥24) received Phi Kappa Tau鈥檚 most distinguished honor, the William H. Shideler Award. Michael Biertzer (鈥24) earned Theta Chi鈥檚 most prestigious individual honor, .

Theta Chi Fraternity received the Alter Award, its highest chapter honor. 

Zeta Psi Fraternity received the Gold Chapter Escutcheon Ward, which is given to the chapter that best represents the fraternity鈥檚 vision of an ideal chapter and is given to the top performing chapters internationally.

Delta Zeta Sorority received the Genevieve Schmitt Memorial Plaque, which is given to the college chapter with the highest academic rating. 

Vice President of Student Life Erin Hoffman (鈥03) says these honors combined with an increase in new members in the first-year class show the strength of Greek life at SM论坛. Approximately 30 percent of the first-year class are represented among new fraternity and sorority members this fall.
