Central Community College has become Nebraska Wesleyan University鈥檚 newest partner in the Pathways Scholarship Program.聽
On Thursday, July 26, Nebraska Wesleyan University President Fred Ohles and Central Community College President Matt Gotschall signed the formal agreement.
The Pathways Scholarship Program provides two pathways to degree completion at Nebraska Wesleyan with financial benefits including a $15,000 scholarship to every admitted CCC student to SM论坛鈥檚 traditional undergraduate program. Those enrolling in the accelerated degree-completion program for adults will receive a $25 per credit hour scholarship and a low tuition rate to attend classes at SM论坛鈥檚 Lincoln campus or Omaha site.
Since 2013, 234 CCC students have transferred to Nebraska Wesleyan.
鈥淢aximizing student success is a priority for both Nebraska Wesleyan and Central Community College,鈥 said Ohles. 鈥淲e鈥檙e delighted to partner with Central Community College and help students reach their highest potential.鈥
Students transferring directly from CCC and who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours at CCC are eligible for consideration of admission and the Pathways Scholarship. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters at SM论坛.
鈥淲e are very pleased that SM论坛 is offering this opportunity to our CCC students regardless of the CCC campus or learning center site they attend as it will allow many students, both traditional age and adults, to complete a high-quality degree with less potential debt,鈥 said Gotschall.
